Columbus donut shop unveils literal Cake Donut–with a miniature cake stuffed inside of a donut

We all know that cake donuts are better than their yeast counterparts, but what about donuts with an actual cake inside of them?

No, this is not a joke, and no, this is not a drill.

Rose Dough Donuts recently unveiled a special item created for National Donut Day (it will be available for pickup June 6-7, with preorder opening yesterday). It combines one of its decadent brioche donuts stuffed with the cookie-cake mix from Angie’s Rainbow Cookies three-layer cake cookies.

Rose Dough is no stranger to unique offerings, having created Pepsi and Pizza-flavored options for a slate of “Home Alone” themed offerings. Currently available for pickup or at markets only, Rose Dough’s first ever brick and mortar space will open at 3375 N. High Street this summer.
