Columbus eatery named one of ‘USA Today’s’ Restaurants of the Year

A Columbus eatery was tapped as one of “2025’s Restaurants of the Year” by USA Today.

In a list published on Feb. 12, USA Today named Avishar Barua’s eatery Agni as one of the nation’s 44 restaurants of the year for 2025.

Named after the HIndu goddess of flame, Agni is an upscale concept that features cuisine from around the world, united by the idea of fire and grilling. Located at 716 S. High St., in the former home of Ambrose & Eve, Agni opened its doors in early 2023.

Agni was one of three Ohio restaurants on the list, including The Aperture in Cincinnati and Social at the Stone House in Massillion.
