Columbus spot tapped as one of country’s best cookie shops by ‘USA Today’

A Columbus cookie shop is one of the nation’s best, according to a new list from ‘USA Today.’

In this year’s ‘USA Today’ 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, Lion Cub’s Cookies landed on the publication’s collection of 20 finalists in the Best Cookie Shop category.

Readers can vote for their favorite spot until noon on June 9, and the 10 shops receiving the most votes will be revealed, in order, on June 18.

“The nomination from USA Today feels like this huge pat on the back from our fans here in Columbus. While this is a national nomination, it was locally fueled,” owner Bradley Kaplan told 614Now. “The editors at USA Today would never hear about Lion Cub’s if it weren’t for this community getting behind us since day 1 and spreading the word.“

In case you don’t already know about the popular Columbus cookie spot, Lion Cub’s made a name for itself delivering massive, still-warm cookies across the city, before opening a brick and mortar space in Grandview in 2021 and another in Worthington last year.
