Decades old Columbus grocery store closing

A community staple for more than thirty years is saying goodbye.

Yao Lee Oriental Supermarket, located in the Clintonville/North Campus area at 2848 N. High St., posted signs outside their store that they would be closing. The owner, Mr. Lee, is retiring, according to a letter that was stapled to a community bulletin board.

The supermarket offers Asian pantry staples and snacks and is a go-to spot for many campus students.

Mr. Lee declined to talk to 614Now about their exact closing date.
