Despite announcement last month, Arthur Treacher’s is not returning to Columbus
We’ve got good news, and we’ve got bad news.
The good news is that—after announcing its plans to close in July—the long-standing Grandview area eatery Marino’s Seafood will be reopening.
The bad? Columbus is not getting an Arthur Treacher’s Fish & Chips, or at least not in the immediate future.

In early July, Marino’s announced its plans to close (which it did), with the long-lost seafood chain Arthur Treacher’s slated to take over the space. It would have been the first Arthur Treacher’s in the Columbus in more than a decade.
Would have been.
In a social media post yesterday evening, Marino’s announced that it will reopen instead of Arthur Treacher’s at the 1216 W. 5th St. location.
Marino’s did not share any additional details about the situation. Arthur Treacher’s may still return to Columbus, but it’s likely not happening soon. The closest location for the chain today is in the Cleveland area.
