A new concept from a number of Columbus restaurant scene veterans is slated to open next month.

Smash Daddy’s—a new eatery serving smash burgers, chicken tenders and more—is launching both a brick and mortar restaurant space as well as a food truck later soon.

The eatery, which is slated to open in early August, will be located at 984 High St. in the village of Harrisburg. Smash Daddy’s also plans to open a food truck this fall that will travel across Columbus.

The new eatery is owned by brother and sister Donato’s franchisees Shawn and Amanda Strepp, in addition to partner Sam Kirk, who previously owned the Macho Taco food truck.

The new eatery’s menu will include a Smash Burger, Western BBQ Smash, Brunch Smash, Bacon Smash, and other rotating burger options. It will also offer sides like Mac and cheese, tots and onion rings, in addition to chicken tenders.

“We eat pizza, chicken and burgers on a weekly basis, so we are excited to share our favorite foods with our community,” the Smash Daddy owners said in a joint statement.
