Downtown coffee shop vandalized

Sav McKee

Police responded around 3 a.m. Sunday morning to a popular coffee shop’s window being shattered.

Someone allegedly used a metal patio chair to smash a front-facing window at Parable, the popular coffee shop and restaurant located at 149 S. High St. Due to the nature of the large windows and shattered glass inside, the cafe was forced to transition to carry-out only on Sunday, and they closed at 2 instead of staying open for their normal Sunday Jazz night and dinner service.

The incident is still being investigated, and we’ll update this story once more information is released. The good news is that they’re back open and ready for full dine-in service today, if you’re looking for some of the best coffee & pastries in the city!
