‘ESPN’ mega-star Pat McAfee shouts out Columbus restaurant on his show

If you know about football, you know him as the former standout punter of the Indianapolis Colts. If you know about football-related television, you know him as one of the biggest names in the business.

We’re talking about Pat McAfee. And on a recent episode of his eponymous ESPN show, the former NFL star raved about a Columbus restaurant and its owner.

McAfee gave a shoutout to Giuseppe Mangano, the owner of  Giuseppe’s Ritrovo in Bexley. Late last year, Mangano was involved in a car accident which eventually led to a stroke and an induced coma. His rehab progress, and his story, inspired McAfee to share it on his show.

“Giuseppe got T-boned. Paralyzed. 65 years old. Now he’s back walking,” McAfee said. “He’s going to get his ass back into that restaurant, I do believe.”

The host had more kind words for the Columbus chef and restaurant older, referring to Mangano as “a grinder” and calling his food “immaculate.” You can watch the entire clip below.
