Fire destroys popular Central Ohio restaurant and multiple other businesses

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in a devastating fire that took place last night around 11:44 PM.

But unfortunately, the beloved restaurant, Rodos Greek Taverna at 2151 on West Granville Road, was completely destroyed in this fire. They moved from their Indianola location to Granville Rd. in the summer of 2023, naming the restaurant after the owner’s favorite vacation spot: a small island in Greece called, of course, Rodos. “I wanted to name my restaurant after somewhere that reminded me of being happy,” owner Erion Permeti emphasized.

The fire spread to several surrounding businesses, according to The City of Worthington.

“Fire investigators have been at the scene through the night and will be working throughout the day. No cause has yet been determined,” said the City of Worthington.
