Former OSU Buckeye linebacker & team captain opens new cafe 

You may think that a linebacker would run on protein shakes, steak, and eggs. But for former OSU linebacker Curtis Grant, pure green juice and smoothies are the trick.

Grant, who played linebacker at OSU from 2011 to 2014 and was team captain during the 2014 National Championship game, opened a Florida-based juice shop at 1475 N. High St. this week with his wife, Kayla.

The shop, Pure Green, offers healthy juices, smoothies, and bowls made with real fruit and superfoods instead of powdered chemicals and artificial sweeteners. Guests can also choose Superfood Toasts with sprouted grain bread, such as Hazelnut Butter Toast or Avocado Smash Toast, plus steel-goat oatmeal bowls.
