Sizzle Perry, the founder of Crafted Culture Brewing, is taking on a new role.

Last week, Perry announced on social media that he plans to step down as CEO of Crafted Culture to focus on Mecca Beverage House, a new concept that will serve as a incubator for minority-owned breweries, wineries and meaderies.

“I see this almost like an expansion of the Crafted Culture mission, to be that megaphone for minority-owned brands,” he told 614Now. “We found all those brands, reached out to all of our friends in that space and put everybody together.”

Taking over the former home of Pretentious Barrel House, which was located at 745 Taylor Ave., the new space will be home to multiple minority-owned drink brands when it opens, likely in June. Perry said the space will have a taproom featuring drinks from all of the incubator’s concepts.

The following brands are currently signed on to Mecca Beverage House:

DFQ Beer
Meulanated Meadery
Outlaw Cider & Alehouse
Wild Ohio Wild T

“Our mission is to create a totally inclusive craft beverage brand,” Perry said.
