Founders of Mad Cow Bar & Grill bringing new restaurant with live music, event spaces and kids climbing park to Central Ohio

A unique new multifunctional restaurant and event space is coming to Central Ohio soon.

West 40 Social, a new concept from Hilliard developers Westwood Collective, is coming soon to Downtown London, Ohio. An exact opening date hasn’t been announced, but the new spot is aiming to launch late this summer.

With a sizable mix of both indoor and outdoor space, it will feature four contiguous parcels of land, and will be located at 36-42 W. First St. in London.

Centered around a new restaurant from the founders of Mad Cow Bar Grill, West 40 Social will feature a “casual yet elevated” menu, in addition to signature cocktails and more,

“Our family is proud to bring a Modest style bistro and first of its kind event venue to the City of London,” said Jesse Fields, co-owner of the Mad Cow, in a press release. “The laid-back restaurant atmosphere with have a focus on high-quality, classic cuisine influenced by regionally sourced and inspired fare. We can’t wait to open and share this latest concept with both our loyal and new patrons.”

The new concept will also include the following:

• A dedicated stage for live music, hosting local and regional acts;

• Food truck parking to compliment the restaurant and bar;

• A children’s climbing park, designed to make the space family-centric;

• A beautifully designed venue, ideal for ceremonies, receptions, and private events; and it even plans to host regular farmers markets starting next year.

“Having West 40 Social in Downtown London is fantastic. This will help bring new people to our beautiful historic downtown area, give the citizens a wonderful place to go and increase foot traffic,” London Mayor Pat Closer told 614Now. “We appreciate all that Westwood Collective has done for our community and look forward to this new venture with Mad Cow Bar & Grill.”
