Fusion concept serving Naan Quesadillas, masala cheese nachos, opening soon in Columbus


A new eatery moving into Saraga International Market will be bringing a unique fusion of international flavors with it.
Tiffin Bites will take over the former home of Kosi, which was located inside of the Morse Road Saraga, is slated to open in late June, although an exact date has not been announced.
“My business partner [Mohammad Karim] and I are tech people, but we love food, and we also shop a lot at Sarga,” said Syed Salehin, who co-own Tiffin Bites with Karim. “It’s a very diverse population that shops here, and we wanted to bring a menu that was very diverse.”

Drawing on their South Asian roots (both men moved to Columbus from Bangladesh), the new concepts plans to create some truly original fusion recipes, including a Naan Quesadilla and Fusion Nachos, which feature tortilla chips topped with butter chicken or spiced keema, masala cheese sauce, mint chutney and tamarind crema.
Salehin envisions the brand’s best-sellers to be their Global Tiffin Platter (a build-your-own bowl with protein, sauces and toppings inspired by cuisines from around the world) or their Dhaka Tacos, which he described as “like if a taco marries a kebab” and feature kebab meat inside of a taco.
