German Village-area coffee shop announces closure of storefront, transitioning to mobile bus

A popular coffee shop is taking their lattes, and their mission, to the road.

Community Grounds, the quaint coffee shop at 1134 Parson’s Ave., announced they’ll be closing their stationary storefront and transitioning to a fully mobile dine-in experience instead.

“Customers will enter via stairs or ramp, to find a full-service espresso bar, tiny kitchen, mini mercantile, and community-forward programming on the go,” said Community Grounds’ Instagram post.

They said that this new mobile concept will allow them to serve the community in new and creative ways, “increasing accessibility and impact.”

The last day of their brick & mortar location will be Tuesday, August 5th. Starting this fall, you’ll be able to catch their bus cruising around town, and they promise to still make some stops back on Parsons Ave.
