Glizzies & Glory: Grandview eatery to hold hot-dog eating contest with cash prizes

We may be hundreds of miles from Coney Island, but here in Central Ohio, we apparently still know how to eat a shit-ton of hot dogs.

Next month, Bobcat Sports Bar in Grandview will be holding its 2nd annual Glizzes & Glory Hot Dog Eating Contest. It will take place on July 2, from 6-8 p.m.

The contest will feature three divisions–Men, Women and Youth–with a ten-minute time period for both adult divisions and a five-minute youth division to determine who can consume the greatest number of hot dogs with buns.

The contest is free, but each division features only 10 spots each. You can sign up here. Competitors are encouraged to come in costume.

There are cash prizes awarded to the top two finishers in each division, and each division will also have a Fan Favorite winner.
