Graeter’s Ice Cream finally planning to come to this Columbus suburb

A lucky group of people in Central Ohio’s Northside will no longer have to drive 30+ minutes to grab some of the best ice cream in the USA (I was born in Cincinnati and am a little biased, yes).

Graeter’s Ice Cream is planning on coming to Delaware, according to the Delaware Planning Commission’s meeting last week, where the commission unanimously approved of the new plans to build a location (complete with a drive-thru) near Delaware Area Career Center’s south campus and the Delaware location of Columbus State.

Delaware City Council will vote on the final decision on August 25.

Graeter’s is known for using the French Pot Process, remaining one of the last commercial ice cream makers to use this traditional way of churning ice cream. The result is dense, creamy ice cream. The brand is also famous for their huge chunks of chocolate chips, plus using high-quality ingredients and no food coloring in most of their ice creams (with the exception of flavors like Cotton Candy).
