Grandview coffee and dessert spot sold to new owner

After it was briefly closed for renovations, Winan’s Coffee & Chocolate is back under new ownership in Grandview Yard.

According to new owner Daniel Hamm, who took over the business from previous owner Matt Finkas in August, Winan’s will hold it’s “Grand Refresh” celebration on Oct. 25. It’s located at 1125 Grandview Yard.

Winan’s Grand Refresh will offer free hot brew coffee and chocolate samples all day, prizes, and the first 25 individuals in line will receive “free coffee for a year” in the form of a coupon book that will allow them to claim one free coffee a week for an entire year.

Hamm, who was previously with Ox-B’s and Brenz Pizza, the Grandview Winan’s, had become friends with previous owner Matt Finkas, and the store has been “a staple in his life” for the last six years.

“Matt was looking for an exit strategy back in June, and He knew how much I cared. So it just made sense,” Hamm said.

The new Winan’s owner is already getting involved with the Grandview-area community, getting involved in the Grandview Pumpkin run this weekend, and partnering with Creative Living and Housing.
