Grandview restaurant permanently closed

A lively restaurant in the heart of Grandview told 614Now that they’ve permanently closed.

Loco Social, which announced last week they’d be “temporarily closed,” has made the decision to close their restaurant at 1291 Grandview Ave. for good after opening last summer.

The restaurant group behind Loco Social, called Epic Brands, also owns Agave & Rye, the popular taco concept that’s located right next door. They’ve listened to community wants and needs about opening up A&R for lunch again. Since Loco Social was more brunch-heavy, it made sense to them to close Loco, focus on Agave & Rye, and maybe in the figure find a new location for Loco Social, they said. “We want an area with better parking,” a representative told 614Now.

Agave & Rye’s Grandview location will reopen for lunch seven days a week, and they might be adding a weekend brunch as well–exactly what the Grandview community has asked of them.

Stay tuned for what’s going into that location next!
