Historic restaurant that closed seven years ago hints at a comeback
One of the area’s oldest restaurants closed in the winter of 2018, leaving the community devastated. But now, this historic restaurant appears to be hinting at a major comeback.
The Worthington Inn, which opened as a restaurant in the 1850s at 649 High St., posted on October 23. That they’re “…preparing for its next chapter under local ownership dedicated to preserving its legacy and revitalizing its role as Worthington’s gathering place.”

A new website was even made, confirming that it’s reopening. “We’ll keep you updated as the Worthington Inn prepares to reopen its doors. We can’t wait to welcome you back to the table,” the Inn said on their website.
