International burger giant opening new Central Ohio location

New Albany is landing a New McDonald’s.

The worldwide fast food chain announced recently that the grand opening of its newest Central Ohio eatery will be held on June 26 from 1-5 p.m. The new McDonald’s is located at 2055 Beach Rd. in New Albany.

The grand opening event will feature a ribbon cutting and check presentation to local non-profit Canine Companions at 2:30 p.m. It will include food samples, live music, a prize wheel and even visits from Grimace and Birdie.

“I love giving back to the communities where I do business,” said Brian Mortellaro, who now owns and operates 16 Ohio McDonalds, in a press release. “We will carry on that tradition in New Albany by continuing to support the local community.”

The new McDonald’s, which will employ 60 people, will feature a double drive-thru lane, order kiosks and more.
