‘It was highly requested that we reopen;’ Popular Short North restaurant makes a comeback after closure

When a hotspot for sushi closed last May, longtime customers begged the owners to reopen elsewhere.

Even better though—The 1126 Restaurant officially reopened yesterday, right in the same building everyone knew and loved, at 1126 N. High St.

“It was highly requested that we reopen,” said a spokesperson for 1126. “It’s a staple in The Short North.”

The 1126 Restaurant is the fourth of Daniel Chen’s restaurants, which also include Blue Sushi near Polaris, plus 698 Restaurant and Song Lan Restaurant. The restaurant serves delicious and gorgeous sushi varieties as well as appetizers, hibachi, and noodle dishes.
