Local diner featured on ‘America’s Best Restaurants’ quietly closes

A local, family-owned diner known for hearty breakfasts, delicious lunches, and a rotating display of homemade treats has quietly closed their doors.
Eclectic Diner opened in a charming, vintage building about six years ago in Delaware, Ohio, immediately becoming a gathering place for the community to grab a slice of pie and coffee. It was recently featured on America’s Best Restaurants in October.

The retro-themed diner closed its doors just two months after that feature though, and the building is now up for sale. According to Toby Boyce of Parker Realty Associates, “The business climate was too much for the Diner to handle. Between new employee challenges and the increasing costs, [Holly] Johnson found the items that used to fuel her were making it hard to keep the business running.”
Eclectic Diner, located at 755 US 23 North, is now for lease. You can view the listing here.
