“It’s hard to…plan for future when you don’t know what the hell the future looks like,” a local distillery announced via an Instagram post.

451 Spirits, located in Clintonville at 590 Oakland Park Ave., Suite D, announced they’re closing their production space, bottle shop, and tasting room. “We’re moving out of here,” Chad Kessler, the owner of 451 Spirits said in the video.

“It’s something we’ve been thinking about for the past year,” Kessler told 614Now. “Something obviously had to change.”

“But we have found a path forward,” said Kessler.

The popular distillery known for unique flavors of liquor, like a Bloody Mary Vodka and even spirits made with Mikey’s Late Night Slice pizza slices, announced that even though their distillery space is closing at the end of July, they’ll be partnering with Echo Spirits Distilling Co.

“We’ve been friends for a long time,” Kessler said. “We’ve worked together before, testing products at their space. I asked them about their new location…and I put together a proposal I thought would be mutually beneficial for both of us.”

Through this partnerships, 451 will produce spirits at Echo Spirits’ Distillery space, and bottles will still be available at local liquor stores. Pop-ups and tastings will be hosted around town. Kessler will also be developing and making spirits for Echo as well, like an upcoming gin.

“I really enjoy what I do,” Kessler said.
