Local gourmet hot dog restaurant & bar closes doors after 6 months of opening

A local spot for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos hotdogs, crispy tots, and cocktails has said goodbye.

“We regret to inform you that our business will be closing permanently. We want to express our deepest gratitude to all our customers for their support and loyalty,” said Lazy Dawg, the gourmet hotdog restaurant & bar that opened in Delaware, OH in June of 2024.

They posted their goodbye in December, saying, “It has been a privilege to serve you, and we cherish the relationships we have built. Thank you for being a part of our journey.”

Local restaurateurs Xue Qin and Xue Gong, owners of Typhoon Asian Fusion, Mashida Chicken, and Yokai Ramen Bistro opened Lazy Dawg at 12 W. Williams St. in the heart of Downtown Delaware last summer, with the hopes of bringing a variety of unique hot dogs to the area, ranging from Wild Buffalo to Memphis BBQ Bacon, as well as “build-your-own-dawgs.”

Stay tuned for what’s coming to that building next.
