Local upscale restaurant transforming into an authentic Italian restaurant for limited time only

A little piece of Foggia will soon be here in Columbus, but for a limited time only.
FYR Short North, which was named one of the top 47 restaurants in the country by USA Today, will soon transform into FYR Italy, paying homage to Executive Chef Sebastian La Rocca’s Southern Italian roots.
La Rocca grandfather was born and raised in Foggia, Italy, and he learned from a young age that food should be a celebration and coming together with those we love. His childhood centered around pasta and great conversation, and now, the esteemed Chef La Rocca is bringing some of that here.

“FYR Italy’s menu is a way to show respect and appreciation for my roots, to show how proud I am of where I’ve come from. It’s an honor to introduce the culinary traditions of my family to this community,” said La Rocca.

The transformation from Short North to Italy will take place starting on March 6, and will only be here for a limited time. Menu highlights include the Stracciatella, a creamy cheese and traditional dish from Foggia paired with a kumquat compote and topped with pistachio, basil and rustic croutons. Alejandro’s Spinach Malfatti Gratin features malfatti with cheese fondata and pecorino romano. Tagliata di Manzo is a classic Italian dish using very simple ingredients, including grilled angus New York steak, arugula, confit dried tomatoes, and real parmesan aged 12 years.
During the limited-time experience, guests will also have a chance to order some of their favorite classic FYR Short North dishes, like the Empanadas Saltenas, Chilled Wood-Oven Roasted Tomato, FYR’s Caesar Salad, Roasted Salmon and Ohio Dry-Aged Tomahawk.
