While Columbus lost a breakfast food legend when Block’s Bagels shuttered, it’s receiving about as good of a replacement as there is.

Marx Bagels, the long-standing Cincinnati brand that’s been operating in The Queen City for more than five decades, has officially opened in the former home of Block’s Bagels, which is located at 6115 McNaughten Centre.

Following the death of owner Harold “Hal” Block earlier this year, Block’s closed for good on March 2 after serving Central Ohio since 1967.
