Longtime Cameron Mitchell GM bringing new “nostalgia-inspired” restaurant to Hilliard

A Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) veteran is bringing a new food concept to the Columbus area next year.

Former CMR general manager and veteran Columbus chef Derek Bush (alongside partner Justin McMaster) will open a new eatery in Hilliard’s TruePointe development in the summer of 2026.

The eatery, part of Bush’s Culinary Collectives brand, will be “Chef driven, nostalgia inspired, and guest attuned,” although the restaurant’s name and menu details have not been announced yet.

“Some of the best food in Columbus isn’t widely publicized—it’s anchored in neighborhoods full of loyal supporters who treat it as their own,” Bush said in a press release. “We’re building one of those places. The kind that becomes a part of your weekly rhythm—not just for special occasions, but for when you want to eat well and feel at home.”
