Longtime owner of Central Ohio restaurant passes away
A Central Ohio restaurant owner of over five decades has died.
According to a public obituary, Tom Buscemi, the owner of Ann & Tony’s Restaurant in West Jefferson for more than 50 years, passed away on June 2. He was 84 years old.
“Tom’s humor, kindness, and delicious food brought joy to countless people and families over the years, and many folks have wonderful stories to share about their experiences with him and the restaurant,” his obituary reads.

Buscemi, a resident of West Jefferson since the age of 5, took over as the owner of the Italian eatery Ann & Tony’s Restaurant, which is located at 211 E. Main St., in 1972.
According to a post on Ann & Tony’s Facebook page, the eatery was passed down to Jevon Pearson, Tom’s stepson, and it will remain open.
Both the West Jefferson Police Department and Fire Department posted to their social media pages lamenting Buscemi’s death.
