Lumin Sky Bar to be replaced with new rooftop bar and restaurant from group behind Forno, Standard Hall
Lumin Sky Bar & Kitchen is leaving, but we’re getting something just as exciting in its place.
Astra Rooftop, the newest concept from One Hospitality (in partnership with Concord Hospitality and Continental Hospitality Group) is set to open in July. Located at 517 Park St., Astra will replace Lumin.
With a name that means “to the stars’ in Latin, Astra Rooftop will feature views of Goodale Park and the Columbus skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows, alongside a “Mediterranean meets Boho” aesthetic.

Its food menu, developed by former head chef of Forno Branden Weigel, will serve Modern American food featuring “hints of European and Spanish influences,” with a focus on small plates, shareables and dramatic presentation. Hans Maggard–former GM of the James Beard-nominated and Michelin-recognized Austin, Texas hotspot, Suerte–will lead Astra’s beverage program, with a focus on playful, sensory-driven drinks.
“Astra Rooftop is about creating a space that feels like an escape, but remains rooted in the core of what matters; great food, well-made drinks, exceptional service, and next level moments,” said Executive Director at One Hospitality Justin Kintz in a press release. “One Hospitality’s return to Park Street has been part of our plan for several years and we are thrilled to be doing it with such amazing partners.”
