There will soon be a new option for pita wraps and falafel bowls.

Hummus Republic, the fast-casual Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, is opening at 1710 Columbus Pike #216 in Delaware soon, according to their website. The sign is already out on the building, but an opening date has yet to be announced.

Founded in 2013, Hummus Republic caters to a wide variety of individuals, listing options for vegans, vegetarians, and protein lovers. Their bowls and pittas offer bases like warm garbanzo beans, organic couscous, or greens, with toppings like hummus, tzatziki, roasted eggplant, chicken or mushroom shawarma, gyro meat, and falafel. There are over 15 herbs and vegetables to choose from, too! Don’t forget the pita chips & dip on the side.

Another location will soon be opening near campus at 2108 N. High St. according to city permits filed last October. Their website says this location is “Coming Soon.”
