As its name suggest, the chain features several varieties of Peri Peri Chicken, which incorporates elements of both Portuguese and North African cuisine. The dish is typically flame-grilled and served with its namesake sauce, which is made from spicy African bird’s eye chilies.

The concept originally opened in 2014 in Villa Park, Illinois. Today, the Port of Peri Per operates restaurants in 11 states. The chain’s Columbus storefront is its first in the Buckeye State.
