National donut chain opening first Columbus-area location this weekend

Donut fans are in luck, because the highly-anticipated national chain Parlor Dougnuts will launch its first Central Ohio storefront this weekend.

According to a social media post from Parlor, the concept will open its Powell location on Feb. 8 at 8 a.m. It’s located at 4290 Home Rd. in Powell.

Parlor Doughnuts is also opening a Lewis Center store, which will be located at 5915 Evans Farm Dr. STE F, although it’s unclear when this location will open.

Founded in Evansville, Indiana in 2019, the eatery offers a variety of “layered” doughnuts, which are made by combining multiple layers of laminated dough, similar to a cronut. Parlor offers a variety of flavors, including French Toast, Maple Pecan, Vanilla Carnival (vanilla glaze with colorful sprinkles), Churro, Bourbon Caramel, Raspberry Pistachio and more.
