National food publication says Columbus restaurant serves the ‘Best Burger & Fries’ combo in the entire state

Peanut butter & jelly, mac & cheese, spaghetti & meatballs…sure, those duos are iconic. But I think we can all agree that a burger & fries is the ultimate.

And apparently, that best combo in the entire state is right here in Columbus, at a local burger joint that’s been around since 1942.

According to Lovefood, the best burger & fries combination in Ohio can be found at The Thurman Cafe, located at 183 Thurman Ave. in German Village. 

Here’s what they said about one of Columbus’ favorite, and oldest, restaurants:

“The gigantic burgers at The Thurman Cafe come as 12oz patties and are piled high with toppings, so it’s best to visit with an empty stomach. Customers recommend The Thurman Burger, loaded with ham, mushrooms, onions, mozzarella, American cheese, and pickles, as well as The Mushroom Burger with mushrooms and mozzarella. The hand-cut fries are always given the thumbs up too.”
