National popular flame-grilled chicken chain opening first Ohio location in Columbus

While there’s plenty of fried chicken options in town, perhaps you’re craving flame grilled chicken that’s been marinated for a whole day in homemade sauces?

If so, this new chain coming to Bethel Rd. might be for you.

The Port of Peri Peri, which is already popular throughout Illinois and slowly making its way through dozens of other states, is opening their first Ohio location at 2540 Bethel Rd.

The menu boasts plenty of options, ranging from grilled wings, wraps, whole chickens, grilled tenders, salads, chicken burgers, and huge platters fit for a feast. The chicken is all-natural, vegetarian-fed, and never given antibiotics. It’s marinated for a full day and then grilled to order, basted with their own signature sauce blends.

While it’s definitely meat-heavy, there’s a separate vegetarian menu featuring veggie patties, falafel, beyond burger, veggie pitas, and paneer wraps.

An opening date has yet to be announced, but Peri Peri said it’s “Coming Soon.” We’ll keep you updated!
