While many of us go to this 56 year old restaurant for donuts, we might be missing out on something even better.

“Those in the know head straight for the breakfast menu,” said Family Destinations Guide, a national guide that often makes “best of” lists in cities around America. According to them, the Buckeye Donuts location at 1998 N. High St. serves the best breakfast sandwich in the entire state.

They specifically call out the everything bagel breakfast sandwich, with a fluffy, made-to order egg that’s not too runny or firm. Their gyro breakfast sandwich was also highlighted. “It’s unexpected but works beautifully, especially when the warm meat melts the cheese,” said the article.

Buckeye Donuts not only offers a diverse selection of breakfast meats, including sausage patties, bacon, kielbasa, and gyro meat, but also bread options, such as croissants, bagels, English muffins, and even glazed donuts (if you ask nicely).

So next time you grab a jelly-filled donut, don’t forget to order a decadent breakfast sandwich, too.
