Nearly 30-year-old Easton-area restaurant abruptly shutters last remaining Ohio location

Just driving past this restaurant with vibrant blue and orange paint on the outside brings some people a sense of nostalgia for the ‘90s.
But now, there’s a dumpster in the parking lot instead of your date’s 1997 Chevrolet Lumina, and a sign on the door now posted, “Sorry for the inconvenience. On the Border is permanently closed.”

The Tex-Mex restaurant, On The Border, first opened in the mid-90s at 4175 Morse Crossing, near Easton, serving fajitas, chips & queso, tacos, and burritos. The chain has been around since 1982, with 133 locations across the globe.
Unfortunately, with the Easton-area location abruptly closing, no other locations are left in Ohio.
614Now reached out the restaurant but received no comment.
