New cafe opens serving candy, nuts, baked goods, and fresh coffee

I was just watching the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie with my nieces and nephews over the weekend, and they were in awe over the candy store in the beginning of the film. Jars of gummies and gumballs, shelves filled with nuts and chocolates, all beautifully displayed. I thought to myself, “Wow, they really don’t make ‘em like that anymore.”

But Watan Cafe & Roastery proved me wrong.

The new cafe, located in Hilliard at 4510 Cemetery Road, offers a beautiful array of rare candies, nuts, fresh coffee beans, baked goods, and delicious Arabic espresso-based drinks.

At Watan, you can enjoy a luxury tea or coffee service, served on a gold platter. Pair it with a pistachio dessert or some candy to-go.

They’re open every day from 9am-10pm.
