New Columbus pizzeria earns 8.1 score, tied for highest ever in Cbus, from Dave Portnoy’s ‘One Bite Pizza Reviews’

Until yesterday, Sexton’s Pizza and Emelio’s Pizza shared the highest score a Columbus pizzeria has ever received from the famous, and infamous, One Bite Pizza Reviews series.

And now, Artisan Pizza has made it a three-way tie at the top.

Yesterday, Portnoy posted his review of Artisan Pizza Cafe, which officially opened its door this summer. He gave it an 8.1, the same score as Sexton’s and Emelio’s.

The video shared a bit about the eatery’s owner, who was born in Italy and learned her pizza recipe from her mother. Portnoy also noted that Artisan Pizza Cafe is planning to hire more help to keep up demand.

“It’s a legit 8.1,” Portnoy said, calling it “great pizza,” despite noting he felt the bottom was a touch overdone.
