There’s a new spot in Central Ohio for made-from scratch, upscale dishes, weekend brunch, and some of the best chicken wings in the state.
Liberty Social opens this weekend on April 26, located in the spot previously occupied by Gallop’s Bar & Kitchen, at 240 N. Liberty St. in the heart of Powell.
The grand opening celebration is this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and ten percent of the proceeds will benefit the Autism Society of Central Ohio.

Syam Duddela, owner of Liberty Social, said the 240-seat space will be “casual with fine food.” Guests can expect upscale entrees, such as charred salmon, steaks, and lamb chops, but also more casual options too, such as Reuben sandwiches, hand-pattied burgers, and New York-style pizzas made with fresh dough and a hand-made sauce. All salad dressings and appetizers are made completely from scratch, along with mostly everything else on the menu, including the pierogies filled with mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, and lemon pesto.
Chef Andre Saultz, who trained at the Columbus Culinary Institute at Bradford School, said their “chicken wings are the best in Ohio – period.”
Regular business hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays. The restaurant will offer brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, in addition to its regular hours, and closed on Mondays.
