Ohio-based pizzeria chain unveils a pumpkin spice latte-inspired pizza

As an individual with a profound love for the fall, I didn’t think it was possible to push the autumnal envelope too far. A recent offering from Dewey’s Pizza has me questioning that stance, though.

The Cincinnati-based pizza chain recently unveiled its limited time Smashing Pumpkin Pizza, which is available until Nov. 9.

Dewey’s seasonal pizza, which is returning for the third year in a row after debuting in 2023, starts with a house-made whipped pumpkin ricotta base, mozzarella cheese, Italian sausage crumbles, roasted shallots and toasted pumpkin seeds.

“The Smashing Pumpkin is the savory answer to the annual pumpkin craze, inspired by both the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) trend and the growing demand for savory pumpkin dishes,” Dewey’s said in a press release.

The pizza chain is also releasing their seasonal Harvest Salad, which includes field greens, toasted pumpkin seeds, figs, Boursin cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, and house-made apple cider vinaigrette.

Both the Smashing Pumpkin Pizza and Harvest Salad are available at all 27 Dewey’s storefronts. The pizza chain has three locations in the Columbus area, in Dublin, Grandview and Worthington.
