One of India’s largest ice cream chains opens first Columbus location

One of the most popular ice cream chains in one of the most populous countries in the world has opened its first Ohio eatery.

Dumont Creamery & Cafe officially opened its doors to the public over the weekend. The drink and dessert spot is located at 8671 Sancus Blvd.

One of the largest ice cream chains in India, Dumont offers gourmet ice cream in a wide variety of flavors, including options like Butterscotch, Oreo Caramel Fudge, Festive Cake and more, with rotating “Global Spotlight” flavors like Biscoff from Belgium and Kheer from India.

Dumont also offers boba, hot tea, coffee and more.

The international ice cream shop operates dozens of locations across India, with plans for more than 100 stores currently. Dumont’s Columbus location is the brand’s first Midwestern storefront. It operates eight locations in Texas and one store each in California, South Carolina, Arkansas and Georgia.
