Oregon-based coffee chain submits plans for two Columbus locations for the first time

After submitting plans for its first Central Ohio location ever, it looks like this Oregon-based coffee chain is expanding even more throughout the area.

Dutch Bros appears to not only be on its way to 5470 N. Hamilton Rd., which 614Now revealed in September—it looks like the West Side of Columbus is getting one as well.

The Prairie Township Board of Zoning Appeals approved plans for a new Dutch Bros drive-thru at 5300 W. Broad St. This would be just a couple of blocks west from the Hollywood Casino.

Dutch Bros first opened in 1992 as a pushcart near the railroad tracks in Grants Pass. In 2000, the first franchise opened, quickly spreading the coffee concept across the Northwest part of our country. Just four years ago, they started expanding past Texas and Oklahoma. The first Ohio location opened last week in Cincinnati.

The concept is known for coffee classics as well as seasonal drinks, frozen espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and a small selection of pastries.

An opening date for both the Hamilton Rd. and Broad St. location have not been announced.
