Popular birria restaurant launches first food truck

Martha’s Fusion Kitchen is hitting the road, with its famous birria tacos in tow.

The eatery, which is located at 3331 Maize Rd., announced last week that it was rolling out a new food truck for the first time. According to owner Jose Zacatelco, the truck officially opened on Sept. 21.

For the time being, the truck will typically just be open on Sundays, and will frequent a spot in Hilliard, outside of Nike Lounge. Zacatelco said Martha’s new truck is larger than most (25 feet long), and is not allowed to park on the street because of this.

Once they’re able to locate more workers and places to park, its availability will expand, with Zacatelco noting he would like to take the truck to the East Side and New Albany, but if you’d like to suggest a spot for the truck to head, feel free to reach out yourself! You can find out where the truck will be on Marth’s social media pages.

According to Zacatelco, the truck’s menu is not 100 percent the same as the restaurant’s, but will still feature “birria everything.”
