Popular build-your-own salad & bowl concept expanding to Grandview

A business model built on accessibility to natural, healthy foods is expanding throughout Central Ohio.
Roots Natural Kitchen first opened about three years ago on campus, with college students flocking to grab a Corner Cobb salad or El Jefe bowl.
Now, signs have been placed up at 808 Grandview Ave. that Roots Natural Kitchen is soon coming there, too. The building was formerly Steak Escape. Stay tuned for the opening date!

The Roots chain has 14 restaurants around the U.S., with the Campus and Grandview locations being the only ones in Ohio. They’re all about “getting back to the basics with what we eat,” offering a plethora of healthy bowls and a build-your-own option. The Balboa bowl consists of brown rice with roasted sweet potatoes, charred corn, avocado, pita chips, feta, and lime-pickled onions with the choice of chicken, barbacoa, BBQ you, red chili miso tofu, or chimichurri mushrooms. Healthy and delicious.
