Popular coffee spot, bakery opens second location

Pick ‘Em Up Joe Coffee Co. is finally up and running at their new Grove City location after recently celebrating their grand opening. The coffee shop is officially open at 3989 Broadway, in the Historic Town Center.

This is their second location, as their first location in Pickaway County remains operational at 5 Main St in Orient.

Known for their affogato and baked goods, Pick ‘Em Up Joe is selling hot savory and sweet kolaches (like their Nutella filled kolache), giant cinnamon rolls, cookies, pecan rolls, and a variety of locally made goods and merch. Check out items for purchase from small businesses like Deneen Pottery’s homemade coffee mugs, Olive Root’s clean-burning and non-toxic candles, and Yesteryarn Co’s crocheted coffee holders and mini Joe plushies (the owners’ basset hound, and the coffee shop’s namesake).

“We’re not restaurateurs, we are just people looking to serve and love people. That’s our whole heart. Loving and serving people right where they’re at. If we can do that through a cup of coffee and pastry, that transforms peoples’ whole day,” the owners previously told 614now.

The new spot has seating inside and out, and is open 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturday. Follow their Instagram @pickemupjoecoffeeco to keep up with the shop – and stop by to give their kolaches a try.
