Popular deli known for massive sandwiches opens second location
Two years ago, a Pittsburgh-based sandwich shop joined Columbus’ University District, opening their first Central Ohio location at 18 E. Hudson St.
And now, another Frenchi’s Deli has officially opened.
The deli opened their second location in the Short North earlier this month, located at 1219 North High St.

Offering a wide variety of indulgent, bodega-style sandwiches that are made directly in front of diners, the sandwich shop aims to blend American dining with aspects of French street food. Choose from “Le Roast Beef,” or “Le Turkey Breast” for traditional cold or hot sandwiches, or “Les Corned Beef” or “Le Croque Monsieur” for something even more hearty. Along with hot and cold sandwiches, Frenchi’s offers salads, traditional subs, gyros, and vegetarian options. Either way you choose, your salad or sandwich is bound to be loaded with toppings and sauces.
“We’re two guys from France, and we want to bring the French way of fast food and American way together. People have been loving it so far,” said Djamal “Frenchi” Adoubou, co-owner of Frenchi’s.
