Popular fast-food chain abruptly closes after a decade on High Street; planning on closing hundreds of locations

Many Ohio State students were surprised to find that one of their favorite casual lunch spots abruptly closed at the end of last semester.

Wendy’s, which opened in 2014 on the first floor of The View on High at 2004 N. High St., is now closed.

Last November, Wendy’s, the Dublin-based chain, announced their plan of closing 140 of their U.S. Restaurants before the end of the year, plus another 100 in May of this year.  But with hundreds of Wendy’s closing, 250-300 more are planning to open, according to AP News.
