Dutch Bros, popular Oregon-based coffee chain, submits plans for first-ever Columbus location
One sip of this coffee and you’ll grow a handlebar mustache, turn vegetarian, and trade your car in for a bike.
Just kidding. After all, Dutch Bros coffee started in Grants Pass, OR and not Portland.
Dutch Bros first opened in 1992 as a pushcart near the railroad tracks in Grants Pass. In 2000, the first franchise opened, quickly spreading the coffee concept across the Northwest part of our country. Just four years ago, they started expanding past Texas and Oklahoma. The first Ohio location opened last week in Cincinnati.

And now, it’s on its way to Columbus for the first time ever. According to plans submitted to The City, Dutch Bros is working on a location at 5470 N. Hamilton Road near Hamilton Quarter. No opening date or timeframe has been announced yet.
The concept is known for coffee classics as well as seasonal drinks, frozen espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and a small selection of pastries.
