Popular pizzeria joining local food hall
Although one pizzeria closed up shop here, another one is moving right in.
Elevated Wood-Fired Pizza is taking the space of Borgata inside Budd Dairy Food Hall this June. The popular pizzeria has made a name for itself as a wood-fired pizza trailer since 2021, offering high quality dough and ingredients in a mobile setting.
Although their DiFiore, which is imported from Italy, won’t be there inside Budd Dairy, they’ll still be offering the pizza recipes you know and love. “The dough is everything,” said Margaret Peponis, co-owner of Elevated Wood-Fired Pizza. She explained that it’s still bubbly and crispy, but just less smoky than wood-fired, so you can actually taste the sourdough even better.
Their pies range from simple (yet delicious) cheese or pepperoni, but also more artisan pizzas, like the Alsatian Pizza with cream sauce, Grande™ shredded mozzarella cheese, bacon, and candied onions, or the Big Meat Pizza with Their pies range from simple (yet delicious) cheese or pepperoni, but also more artisan pizzas, like the Alsatian Pizza with cream sauce, Grande™ shredded mozzarella cheese, bacon, and candied onions, or the Big Meat Pizza with tomato sauce, Grande™ shredded mozzarella cheese, Ezzo™ pepperoni, bacon, and Ezzo™ crumbled sausage.
