Popular restaurant chain closing a location due to ‘landlord dispute’

You’ll soon have to go elsewhere for a 3-way or Cheese Coney.

The Skyline Chili located at 1790 Hilliard Rome Rd. in Hilliard told 614Now they’re closing this month. They confirmed there was a dispute with the landlord, and an agreement could not be reached.

As a result, the last day at this popular Cincinnati-based fast-food chain will be February 25, according to the manager at that location and Skyline’s website. Fortunately, the workers at this location have the choice to join other restaurants in the Central Ohio area, according to the manager.

There are 10 other Skyline locations that are still open throughout Central Ohio, including one near Hilliard.

Skyline first started 75 years ago in Cincinnati, with the founder using spices passed down from his Greek heritage, and since then, the eatery has spread to other Ohio cities (and now even Indiana, Kentucky, and Florida). They’re famous for adding cinnamon to their chili, and even topping spaghetti noodles off with their signature chili and loads of cold, shredded cheddar cheese.
